Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to bring my own instrument?
If you are a piano student you do not need to bring an instrument. Otherwise you do need to bring your own instrument to every lesson.

Do I need an acoustic piano?
While an acoustic piano is preferred, beginning and intermediate students can use an electronic keyboard for practice.

How long and how often should I (or my child) practice between lessons?
For children under seven, regular daily practice of 15-20 minutes is recommended. Children between 7 and 10 should strive for consistent daily practice of at least 30 minutes. As students progress into an intermediate level, daily practice of at least 45 minutes is recommended. Adults benefit most from at least 45 minutes of daily practice.

Do you teach popular music?
We teach any style of music the student wants to pursue. However, our curriculum is rooted in traditional technique and musicianship.

However, for national holidays and periods of Florida State school vacation, there is never a charge for cancellations.
